CompClarity: A Native App From Dance Mom Central

Competitive dance families juggle a chaotic season: multiple routines — solos, duets, groups, and full teams — across back-to-back competitions, each with its own hotel bookings, costume prep, and performance schedule. That information usually lives scattered across spreadsheets, group texts, and paper schedules. Competition venues themselves often have spotty cell signal, so even a well-kept spreadsheet becomes useless right when a family needs it most.

Drive Phase designed and built CompClarity as a true native iOS app rather than a wrapped website, specifically so it keeps working offline in low-signal venues. It gives families a color-coded calendar across every routine type, lets them add and organize routines before a season's schedule is finalized, tracks hotel bookings and costume checklists per competition, sends reminders through busy competition weekends, and supports multiple dancers on one account for families with more than one competitor.

CompClarity shipped and was approved for release on the Apple App Store — Drive Phase's first app built on its custom-code stack since migrating off wrapped no-code (Bubble) app builds, and now the flagship proof point behind its native mobile app development service line. It stands as its own project and case study, distinct from (though connected in origin to) the Dance Mom Central web platform.
